Salary Details
The selected candidates will receive a monthly salary as per the following details:

| Project Engineer | Rs.47000 – 1850 – 65500 + 18% of basic salary |
| Project Officer | Rs.49500 – 2000 – 69500 + 18% of basic pay |
In addition to the salary, the candidates will also get a medical facility as per IITG Project staff norms.
Qualification Required
The educational qualification is different for each post. The details are as follows:
Project Engineer
- Required: The candidates should have a Ph.D. Degree OR Master’s Degree in Engineering/ Design + 3 years of working experience OR Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/ Design/ MCA + 6 years of working experience.
- Desirable: The candidates should have working experience in web development using JAVA, HTML, PHP, SQL, and MariaDB. Adequate knowledge of functionalities of academic activities of higher technical educational and research institutes; and handling projects like Office Automation.
Project Officer
- Required: The candidates should have a PhD Degree in Science or Engineering/ Design.
- Desirable: The candidates should have PhD from IITs is desirable. Knowledge about the IIT academic system is essential.
Selection Procedure
The applicable candidates will be selected on the basis of the performance of the candidates in the interviews conducted by the committee. The candidates who are already employed under Central/ State Government/ PSU/ Autonomous Bodies/ Private Organizations, etc. will have to submit a No-objection Certificate (NOC) from the concerned employer in advance or at the time of the interview failing which the candidate will not be allowed to appear for an interview.
Tenure
As mentioned in the official notification of IIT Guwahati Recruitment 2024, the selected candidates will be appointed for an initial period of 11 months.
