  • To begin, go to the CoWIN portal and scroll down to the Report Side Effects section. There, click Report Now.
  • Then a new window will appear. Before reporting the Side Effects, you must provide the registered Mobile number used for the Co-win dose registration.
  • Then, click the red Generate OTP button, and the OTP will be delivered to the number. Next, enter the OTP in the space provided. Following that, a window will appear in which you can type the side effects you experienced.

The CoWIN portal provides information about the number of people who have registered for the dose and the number of people who have successfully received the vaccine after registration.

Option 1: Enter the mobile number, and OTP will be sent to the number. Enter the OTP for verification purposes. Now the user will be allowed to access the portal.

These are some of the services which the portal offers. In addition, the options shown above can be used for self-registration for vaccinations or to schedule a date for dose.

Option 2: Another available option is to log in with the help of a Digilocker account. Enter the digilocker account number in the space provided. Then an OTP will be sent to the registered mobile number, then enter the OTP, and the person will be allowed to access the portal.

Step 1: Download the CoWIN.gov.in application from the playstore or Apple store.    

Step 2: Now open the app. Here login with the OTP option can be chosen.

Step 3: Enter the mobile in the space provided. An OTP will be sent to the mobile number.

Step 4: Now enter the OTP, and the person will be allowed access to the portal. 

Booking an appointment for vaccination Dose using CoWIN

Step 1: Scroll down to the bottom of the page, and look for the option’ Vaccination Services’. Select the book Vaccination Slots available under this head.  

Step 2: The user will get directed to a new page, which requires additional registration, and here as well two options will be provided for registering, either by using the mobile number or the Digilocker app. Register into the account and enter the OTP sent in the subsequent pop-up.

Step 3: Click on the Schedule now option after entering the portal.

Step 4: enter the district’s name by entering the pincode in the space where it is being asked. This will help the user to locate a nearby vaccination center.

Step 5: After locating the district select the option, then the user must fill in other details, including information on the age and gender of the beneficiary. Further details include the type of dose desired to get, paid or unpaid, and the name of the vaccine from the options provided.

Step 6: A list of available nearby vaccinations will appear by completing all these details. 

Step 7: From here, the person can book an appointment for vaccination by clicking on the empty slot, which can be found under the book a COVID-19 vaccine appointment head.

Step 8: After completing all these steps, the slot for getting the vaccine will be booked.
