GATE Scorecard 2023
The GATE 2023 exam was conducted in the month of February 2023. After the declaration of GATE Results 2023, the GATE scorecard for the candidates who score minimum qualifying marks; will be released by IIT Kharagpur on the official GOAPS portal. The GATE Scorecard results will remain valid three years after its release; therefore, the candidates are advised to preserve their scorecards for future use. However, it should be noted that this validity will not be applicable to PSU hiring staff unless specifically stated in the recruiting advertisement. The GATE score is calculated from GATE 2023 Normalisation process to maintain a fair and consistent process for the evaluation of scores; the marks are calculated out of a total of 100.

How to Calculate GATE Score 2023?
The actual exam scores received by a candidate are utilised to calculate their GATE score once the exam has been evaluated. Out of 1000 points, the GATE score is determined. The GATE score is calculated using the marks earned by a student and the mean scores of the top 0.1% or top 10 candidates who participated in the same paper, including multi-session applicants. In the case of several sessions of papers, the marks scored by the candidates are then converted into normalized marks, which are further used to compute the GATE score 2023.

Sq = Mq is assigned 350 scores

The applicants who clear the GATE 2023 exam must apply for counselling in COAP and CCMT to be admitted to the participating universities. For MTech admission in IITs, Common Offer Acceptance Portal (COAP) counselling is utilised, whereas Centralised Counselling for MTech (CCMT) is used for admission in NITs, IIITs, GFTIs, and CFTIs.
