Demons can only be killed if their head is removed with weapons created from an alloy named Nichirin. This alloy is made up of poison extracted from wisteria flowers.
While the Demon slayers, on the other hand, possess special breathing techniques called “Breathing Styles”. It gives them superhuman strength and power and increases resistance, helping them battle against the demons. The strongest Demon Slayer who either killed fifty demons or killed a member of the Twelve Kizuki will gain the rank known as Hashira.
