Jasneet Kaur is an actress, social media influencer and model Living in Mohali, Punjab. She has worked in the 2017 Punjabi movie “Rabb Da Radio”, the 2018 Punjabi movie “Qisamt”, and the 2019 Hindi movie “Ek Ladki ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga”. Jasneet Kaur attended Chandigarh University, Punjab, for graduation. She became famous due to her bold pictures and videos on TikTok and Instagram. In 2023 she and her aide were arrested in the case of Honeytrap.
The influencer used an Instagram account under the name @jasneet1703 official. Following the accusation of extortion against the accused, this Instagram page was deleted. Over 2 lakh users follow the influencer on Instagram. On her Instagram bio, Jasneet Kaur listed her occupations as an artist, model, and actor. She is active on a number of social media networks, including Telegram and Snapchat. Jasneet Kaur threatened to publish the chat in September 2022 if Gurbir didn’t pay her Rs 2 crore ransom demand. A BMW car and mobile were seized from her by the police.

Prior to requesting money from his victims, the accused would first become friends with them on social media (they were primarily wealthy males). She would first demand payment from them, and if they refused, she would threaten to use gangsters to get what she wanted.
As per the complainant Gurbir Singh, he received a WhatsApp call from an unknown number. On the call, someone asked for a ransom of 2 crores and blackmailed to make the chats with Jasneet Kaur public. When Gurbir Singh denied acceding to the demands, the accused threatened to harm him and his family.
The case is currently under investigation. The police inquiry has revealed that she was booked and detained in a related case in Mohali in 2018. The social media influencer claimed she led a lavish lifestyle during the initial interrogation.
Jasneet Kaur’s Arrest
Businessman Gurbir Singh, 33, has reported the influencer to the police on charges of blackmail and two crores in extortion. Jasneet Kaur, also known as Rajbir Kaur, was detained following the businessman’s claim that the Instagram influencer was extorting him. The accused allegedly threatened to hurt Gurbir Singh and his family, according to other reports.
On April 1, Jasneet Kaur was the subject of a complaint at the Model Town police station in Ludhiana. According to Jasroop Kaur Batth, the Ludhiana Police’s Assistant Commissioner of Police, a leader in the young Congress named Lucky Sandhu has also been apprehended.
According to the police, Sandhu threatened the targets over the phone. Invoking the IPC sections 384 (extortion), 120-B (criminal conspiracy), and 506 (criminal intimidation), police filed the case against both of the accused. Currently, both the accused are in police custody.
